How Scot Free Consulting PBC handles the personal information you share with us through this website.
Who we are

What we collect through the enquiry form
Your name, company (optional), email address, phone or WhatsApp number (optional), the service you select and your message. Our web server also records standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security, and the enquiry form keeps a short-lived, anonymised count of submissions per visitor (deleted after one hour) to block spam.
Where your enquiry goes
The form sends your enquiry by email to our business mailbox (info@scotfreeconsulting.co.zw) and to a copy mailbox used by our managing consultant, which is hosted by Google (Gmail). The website and business mailbox are hosted by our Zimbabwean web host. If you contact us by WhatsApp, WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply.
Third-party services
- Google Maps: the map on our contact page loads only if you click Show map. Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies.
- Fonts: our fonts are served from our own website; no request is made to Google Fonts.
We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser may briefly store what you typed in the enquiry form, on your own device only, so it is not lost if sending fails.
How we use it
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to provide our services. We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as our professional and legal obligations require, including tax and company law record-keeping periods.
Your rights
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to any record we are legally required to keep. We handle personal information in line with Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].
